Thom Bennett “Thom Bennett explores the relationships between legend and modern interpretation in his series The Mythology of Mardi Gras. His exploration of this seasonal celebration looks past the surface of the occasion to connect additional meanings between masks, costumes and role playing. Bennett successfully associates the playful with the human need to recall, reinterpret and reenact historic and cultural mythologies.” - Barbara Satterfield, The Baum Gallery - "Focal Points: Contemporary Southern Photography"

Ze daLuz A self-taught artist, I have taken some classes in drawing, ceramics, photography, and fiber techniques and continue to produce work in all these media. My current photo series explores the intensity hidden in everyday city life: the goal is to elicit an emotional response from the viewer; an uncertain recognition of themselves in my images. Using oblique or exaggerated views as well as photo montage, I create unique portraits of people and places. http://lightworld.org
